Florrie is the result of the collaboration with Libby Jonson, the lady behind the Truly Myrtle podcast (a joy to listen to, I assure you!)
Our collaboration began when a new shop - Jane Wool, who was located in New Zealand started carrying our yarns. It seemed to me like a good idea to get in touch with a local knitting designer (and Libby is a bit of a star in New Zealand *wink*). It was a great idea! Libby not only accepted to develop a pattern with our Elena yarn, but the pattern that she designed is absolutely stunning! Florrie is a top-down cardigan with dropped sleeves and a beautiful lace hem. She is constructed in a fun way; you’ll begin with the back and then pick up and create the collar as you work the front sections. It is a perfect combination of casual and elegance - I can not wait to cast on, Florrie will become my companion at work this spring!
Libby used for her cardigan Elena natural, but Cheryl, who already knitted the pattern, used grey Elena. Both versions look stunning! Cheryl also added some extra length and chose a different pattern instead of the lace that Libby proposed for Florrie. This only shows what a versatile pattern this is and how easy it is to adapt it to your own preferences.
