The MY Make-Along 2016 December update

The MY Make-Along 2016 December update

12 more days until the end of the first MY Make Along. It was amazing - and still is - to spot all your #wip and #FO photos on Instagram and the Facebook group. There are so many patterns made, some so beautifully photographed and skillfully executed that it is a pleasure and inspiration to browse through them. And some of you made not only one but more!

But now that the end is in sight, I want to make a last announcement / surprise and to ask you something.

Let’s start with what I wanted to ask you.

Please take a look at all those categories where you can win prizes and start posting photos! All those prizes that were offered so kindly by our sponsors need to be won! Between now and 18 December midnight (Netherlands time) there is plenty of time to show me your projects and finished objects! I know that many are working and not sharing so much and I would hate to see you missing the opportunity to be eligible for the prizes! Of course, the photos that are already posted don’t need to be posted again.

If you post on Instagram don’t forget to use the #mymakealong2016 hashtag! (or, if you want to enter for the Moeke in the Netherlands prizes, use also # mymakealong2016nl hashtag). On the Facebook group this is not needed of course. And since many of the Japanese knitters are more comfortable to be active in the Family Designs by Junko Okamoto Ravelry group, I will also accept their entries there.

Ok, and let’s continue to the announcement / surprise.

If you read my post about What is to win in the MY Make Along 2016 and also browsed the sponsors of the event, you noticed maybe that someone was on a list but not on the other. This person is a very talented lady, photographer by calling and profession – Emily Quinton of Makelight. And she was kind to offer a 6 months Makelight subscription, which means that “you'll get access to all the inspiration, tools and resources to grow your following, build your business, or take beautiful photographs to communicate what you do with the world.” Isn’t it a fantastic opportunity to take that extra step toward making amazing photographs?

I want this prize to go to someone who wants it and will benefit from it. So, if you like to be eligible for the 6 months Makelight subscription, when you post your entry photos in the MY Make Along, add in the comments that you also want to be eligible for this prize. For this prize, only one entry is accepted (multiple photos will not count). I will select the winner at random and announce it together with the remaining of the prizes.

Ok, so this is all I wanted to tell you. I am very much looking forward for your photos! And, to cite the girl-on-fire: may the odds be ever in your favor :)

xx, Ioana
