Chicken Boots was born out of a love of all things functional and fiber. We are dedicated to keeping Chicken Boots made in the United States and most items are made on site in our California shop or in our town of Chico. Founder Saremy Duffy has a strong background in the apparel and outerwear industry as a designer and pattern drafter. Her love of knitting and sewing comes together at Chicken Boots. After many years of helping others with their own designs, Saremy finally gets to use her skills to bring her own designs to you. Pauline and Eloise opened Cross and Woods in November 2015, it was a logical development from Woool, the knitting store that Pauline had owned since 2007. We felt that The Hague needed a yarn store, so we moved to a larger location, developed the yarn collection and started to stock fabrics that are hard to find in The Netherlands.
Our yarn collection is mostly wool based and from the more luxury end of the market - including The Fibre Co, Hedgehog Fibres, Jamieson & Smith and Fonty amongst others, this year will be our first year with Moeke yarns and also madelinetosh.

My name is Tammy. I am a 40ish happy wife & stay at home mother of three children who take up 99% of my time & I love it!
They don't really take up 99% of my time. But when I do have regular moments of tranquility when my children are at school - I Knit, Sew, Applique, Hand Quilt, Crochet & of course make delightful project bags which are available for purchase on Etsy. I have had a passion for bag making since I was a little girl. My mother told me I would cut & sew patterns at age five & seven trying to assemble pieces with glue & tape! I proceeded with doll making, macrame etc & believe me the list goes on.
